Vodka moon of Adar over Mitzpe Ramon's famous martini glass water tower. I prefer mine with an olive but nature provided a new moon "onion" this night. |

The Vodka Moon of Adar
Mitzpe Ramon is home to many Russian Olim, who, of course drink vodka. It can be hard to find any hard liquor besides vodka in Mitzpe Ramon. I took this photo of the new moon of Adar over Mitzpe Ramon's famous martini glass water tower. I was standing right in front of a little Russian Makolet (convenience store) that sells more brands of vodka than any place outside of Russia. If you turn on the tapin your house on this night, it might run vodka instead of water!
